Welcome!
Hi Y’all!
Welcome to At Home With Han! I’m so glad you’re here.
It all started with a pot roast. Inspired by the recipes and “real meals” that my friend Sally was sharing on her feed @feedingthefam, I shared my Instant Pot pot roast and very quickly it grew into so much more. I shared my pregnancy, my cooking, recipes I tried and loved (and ones I didn’t), the ongoing toilet paper roll war my husband and I are waging…just my life in general. And when things got *REAL* postpartum and I felt like I was sitting alone in the dark, I shared that too. Suddenly IG turned into this community of people who were cheering for me, praying for me, sharing their stories with me and I in turn was cheering praying and sharing with them.
As much as I absolute adore IG stories, I want more. I love to cook, I love to share my truth, I love to cultivate a community of solidarity and straight up REAL TALK and that’s what At Home with Han is going to be. It’s a little bit of everything.
I’m going to share recipes I’ve created, recipes I’ve tried and loved (and give credit where credit is due!), recipes and meals that have been passed down in my family for generations. I’m going to share products I love and products I don’t, things worth the hype, things totally underrated, and what’s not worth splurging on. If you know me, you know I LOVE a good deal, so I plan on sharing those too. I’m passionate about cleaner choices for myself and for my home and my family, and I want to share my knowledge and research with you about why we should be discerning about the products we use on ourselves and our families and in our homes. I also want to share motherhood and what that looks like for me as a working mom, both in and out of the home. I want to share what anxiety looks and feels like for me. I want to share my struggles, honestly and openly, so that maybe even one person won’t feel so alone. Above all else, I promise I’ll be honest, always. No sugar-coating here, although I do try to be tactful.
While you may feel like you know me from my IG stories, here’s 3 things you may not know:
1) I LOVE Harry Potter. I’ve probably seen each movie over 50 times at this point. I watch them all the time. I frequently start the week with The Sorcerer’s Stone and by Sunday I’ve made it to the Deathly Hallows Part 2. And it’s not just the movies- I’ve read the whole series of books start to finish the last 3 summers in a row. I actually just started the books again this week!
2) I buy fresh flowers for my home every week. It started in college when my grandma sent me a check and told me to treat myself to something nice so I bought from flowers from Trader Joe’s and since they were such a bargain, I made the check last all semester. Now it’s a habit! No Trader Joe’s here so I usually get my flowers at Lidl, but I’m not complaining! Less variety but still great floral prices.
3) I’ve had the same best friend since second grade! I have several besties for the resties, but my true ride of die, would donate an organ to, is in my will and gets my child if Alex and I both die, is Rachel. We connected over ruby red slippers in Mrs. Balanis’ class and the rest is history. We even lived together for 2 years in college! She is the definition of a distance is irrelevant friend, no matter the miles between us she is always one click away. Rachel is the most motivated and hard-working person I know and she inspires me literally daily with her compassion AND her work ethic. Everyone needs a Rachel (but not mine because ya know, she’s mine LOL).
I am so excited to be launching At Home With Hannah because it feels like a true passion project coming to fruition. I am so excited that you’re here and I hope you subscribe so you never miss a moment!
xoxo,
Han
