My Beautycounter Top 3!
Hi Y’all!
In case you didn’t know, I’m a Beautycounter consultant. I pinky promise I’m not one of those cold-message creeps who slides into your DMs complimenting your children in a backhanded way to get you to buy something from me. Do I make a little money when you shop Beautycounter through me? Yep. Is that why I’m a consultant? No! Honestly, when I had Squeaks, I started to think about the products I was using on and around his precious newborn skin. My friend Erin had mentioned Beautycounter a few times and I started to look more into it. I was shocked at what I found.
Did you know that no new legislation has been passed to regulate the skincare and makeup industry since 1938? In case you were wondering, that’s before my gramma was born. MY GRAMMA! “Fragrance” is a completely unregulated term. It can mean pretty much anything. Then I realized that chemical sunscreens are absorbed systemically which means they are excreted in breastmilk! As my horror grew, my love of Beautycounter and the transparency of their company grew too. Beautycounter has a “Never List” which is a list of 1,500 ingredents that they vow to never use in any of their products. This isn’t just some coconut oil in a fancy tube either. It’s high quality skincare and makeup and body products (for the whole family!) that actually work and worth the price point. Plus I feel good about using them on myself and my family. I joined as a consultant because the discount is phenomenal and it was a way to make a little extra income from my family. My first month with Beautycounter I made back my investment (actually in just my launch social!) and my second month I paid for daycare. There’s always room on my team!!
There are so many great products that Beautycounter offers, but I wanted to highlight my absolute must-haves that I either have reordered or plan to reorder- because did I mention that the products last FOR-EV-ER? Yep, been using my products since April and JUST had to replace one product I’ve used up. It’s mid-August!!
Anywho, without further ado- here are my top 3 Beautycounter must-haves!
Cleansing balm is the ultimate multi-tasker and a cult favorite! It’s a makeup remover, nourishing facial cleanser, and even doubles as a hydrating mask! You need about an almond-sized amount so on average the container lasts 6 months. It removes even the toughest makeup and leaves my skin feeling clean without feeling stripped. When taking my makeup off, I double cleanse with this first followed by the Countercontrol Clear Pour Cleanser
Countermatch Adaptive Moisture Lotion
This lotion is so much more than your average day cream. It provides 24 hour hydration, and literally adapts to the hydration needs of your skin as you wear it. This is one product I use every single day, without fail. This tube has lasted me almost 5 months- and is the first product I have loved so much I reordered it! On days I feel like I need a little extra boost of moisture, I add 3 drops of No. 1 Brightening Oil to this lotion and it keeps me feeling hydrated all day and even a little glowy without looking like a grease ball.
The Beautycounter website really sums it up best: “formulated with 15 botanically-derived acids, this leave-on AHA/BHA peel improves skin texture and minimizes the appearance of pores, fine lines, and dark spots without irritation or over-drying. Glycolic, lactic, and malic acids clear away dull surface skin cells, while hyaluronic acid and essential fatty acids soothe and nourish to reveal a brighter, more youthful-looking complexion.” Basically it’s like a tiny facial in a bottle. I have tried A LOT of products from a lot of top brands, and let me tell y’all, this is some good stuff right here. Cough cough comparable to Drunk Elephant and half the price cough. It is so good. SO GOOD. I wake up with skin as soft as Squeak’s booty.
